Gift Guide Part 2: The Ladies Cont.

For the ladies continued today, because I don’t know about you, but I have many more ladies to shop for then men this year. I’m seriously loving the furry earmuffs from BCBG and they are under $40! If you missed previous posts to this series you can find Part 1 (for the guys) here and Part 2-part 1 here… If that even makes sense. Since Thanksgiving is over is it too soon to say Merry Christmas? I think not!

What I Wore

As a sort of sequel to my Working Cocktail post here are some photos that my boyfriend snapped of me upon arriving home from my Friday night work event. The dress I had in mind for this cocktail party seemed all wrong at the last minute. It felt slightly stuffy, so I opted for separates with a frilly blouse.

Working Cocktail

I have a cocktail party to attend tomorrow night. Typically I would be thrilled to start my weekend off with a sparkly party but this particular party is for work, which has had me worried about what to wear since I’ve known about the event. I wanted a conservatively cut dress that wasn’t too boring.  This dress from Neiman’s is exactly what I had in mind, fashionable but still professional. Bold pumps and a metallic clutch really make this outfit standout. Wish me luck as I try to recreate this look with things I already own (fingers crossed that I don’t have to run to the nearest store last minute). Happy Thursday!

Gift Guide Part 1: For The Boys

Today marks the first day of my gift guide series, starting with the boys. I might be getting overly excited for the holidays, (I realize it is not yet Thanksgiving) but I just can’t help myself. Whether your a last minute shopper or an early bird like me here are a few fun ideas!

Pamela Love for Nine West

Another collaboration, but I swear I’m not doing this on purpose. Unfortunately snow flurries in Minneapolis this weekend, and I woke up to more snow this morning. I’ve been eyeing these Pamela Love ankle booties for quite some time and when there is snow on the ground they seem even more appealing.

It’s a lust vs must kind of situation. If you’ve recently gotten a $1,200 bonus at work then these furry purple devils were made for you. If you aren’t that lucky then the Topshop option will make you equally as happy, well maybe not equally as happy, because really nothing can compete with these Louboutins but they are a perfectly acceptable second place pair of pumps. They have a face on them so that part is special.

Teiman Marcus or Narget…. You Can Choose

I love the holidays! I love the holidays even more when Neiman Marcus and Target decide to get together and make special, designer, holiday babies (or gifts) available to you starting Decmeber 1st. Can you think of two better retailers to collaborate? I really can’t. 24 designers were involved to create 50 great gift ideas. Teamwork people, teamwork!

Below are just a few cool trinkets this collaboration has to offer… Check out the whole lookbook here!
